Please refer to your letter dated 15 October 1983, requesting information on the venue and date of the next Asian Regional Conference of the ILO.

The Tenth Asian Regional Conference is expected to be convened in the course of the next biennium. The exact dates have not been fixed. The topics for the agenda of the Tenth Asian Regional Conference will be examined by the Asian Advisory Committee in November this year. The proposals include the following topics: employment of women, rural vocational training and Asian migrant workers.

As you will note from the attached ILO Rules on the matter, the decision concerning composition of Asian Regional Conferences is determined by the Governing Body of the ILO
