Roads (works, Use and Compensation) Ürdinance (Chapter 370)
Amended Scheme annexed to Plan No. 3610880 Describing new Roadworks and Tunnel Works in
Ma Yau Tong, Kwun Tong and Tseng Kwan 0, Junk Bay
The Secretary for Lands and Works proposes to execute new roadworks and tunnel works at Junk Bay and Kwun Tong as shown on Plan No. Jb 1088C ('the Plan') annexed hereto and described hereunder. The proposed works form part of the Principal Access for the development of Junk Day New Town which will provide a direct vehicular link between Kwun Tong and Junk Bay.

The general nature of the work is :
(i) The construction of a 900 metres long single tube tunnel with associated access roaus, portals and ancillary
works.
(ii) The closure and reprovisioning of an
existing footpath.
Incidental to the works described in paragraph 2 will be the construction of all drainage, earthworks, retaining walls and the like and all operations and temporary works as are required for their construction and staging of works.

Also for the purpose of or incidental to the said works the existing footpaths at ma Yau Tong (coloured orange) will need to be closed whereby section 17 of the Ordinance will apply. The footpaths will be replaced by a system of new or existing footpaths to be constructed in connection with the road, tunnel and formation works. During the construction period, footpaths will be maintained so that inconvenience to the public will be minimised. The new footpaths are shown on the Plan.

The land required is either under the control of the Crown or will be or in the process of resumption under section 13 of the urdinance. The land to be resumed is :-
Lot No. 1KP in SD y
and Lot No. 2KP in Sü 9

The land under which it is proposed to create an easement for the construction of the tunnel under Section 15 of the urdinance is shown coloured yellow on the Plan. This easement requires that persons owning or occupying land above the tunnel shall not excavate, drill or bore down below the natural land surface, without prior approval from the Government. The land under which an easement is to
be created is :-
