28. Paragraphs 3 and 4 described the defence shipping tasks of European Reinforcement and Operational Support of the Royal Navy. The following table shows the various types of shipping required for these tasks, the numbers of each type available now, and the forecasts of numbers likely to be Not all the available over the next six or seven years. ships indicated as available against each heading would be suitable for all the types of requirements embraced under the heading.
