(b) in subsection (3) by deleting "railway" and

substituting the following

"the new railway or the extension".

13.

Section 28(2) of the principal Ordinance is

amended

-

(a) by deleting the full stop at the end and

substituting therefore a colon;

(b)

by inserting the following proviso

"Provided that nothing in this

subsection shall apply to any expense

incurred by the Government in acquiring land

for the construction of the North-west

Railway or for purposes associated with its

construction other than land acquired for

the construction of an extension to the

North-west Railway approved under section 20

or for purposes associated with such an

extension.".
