In view of the indiscreet attitude adopted by your office

in handling this matter and the fact that your office does not take

this matter seriously, coupled with the fact that we are just the

ordinary man in the street with no knowledge of the law and having no

expertise to tackle this matter professionally, we have therefore

decided to instruct a professional surveyor to act and assess the

losses for us. Meanwhile, as the requirement of a surveyor arises

from the construction of the footbridge by your office, all fees

incurred in this connection shall be borne by your office.

Should

your office not express any view within 2 weeks from the date of this

letter, this can be interpreted as consent and we will then select

the surveyor to carry out the evaluation work.

Besides, your office had indicated at the meeting that the

compensation section had not received part of our letters claiming

for compensation. However, the Development Department did get those

letters and had even given its replies. This is in fact a question

of efficiency within the Government. Nevertheless, for the sake

of avoiding any further misunderstanding by your office, a set of

photostat copies of all previous letters are submitted to the

Compensation Section of your office for reference.

Yours faithfully,

HO Chung-hin,

Director

for and on behalf of

Tin Shing, Pawn Shop Ltd.
