An up escalator and staircase will be provided at the southern end. A staircase will be provided mid-span to connect the footbridge to a proposed tram platform on Hennessy Road.

A plan and scheme giving details of the proposed road works were prepared in accordance with section 5 of the Roads. (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance and made available for public inspection. A notice calling attention to the plan and scheme was gazetted in accordance with section 8 of the Ordinance on 18 May 1984 and 25 May 1984. Following the advice of the Transport Department, the plan and scheme were subsequently amended. A notice calling attention to the cancellation of the Government Notice gazetted on 18 May 1984 and 25 May 1984 and a notice calling attention to the amended plan and scheme were published in the Government Gazette on 13 September 1985 and 20 September 1985. A copy each of the plan and scheme as amended are at Annex A. Members are requested to note that there is an error on the plan with regard to the house numbers where marked red. This error would not have misled any person potentially affected, depriving him of the right to object.
