An Ordinance to amend the Drug Addicts Treatment and Rehabilitation Ordinance.

[6 June 1986]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Drug Addicts Treatment and Rehabilita- Short title. tion (Amendment) Ordinance 1986.

2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended in the definition of “young Amendment of person" by deleting "nineteen" and substituting the following-

section 2.

Section 5 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting subsection (2). Amendment of

section 5.

Section 14(2)(b) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting Amendment of "Secretary for Home Affairs" and substituting the following--

section 14.

"Secretary for Security".

5. Section 15(3) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "one Amendment of thousand" and substituting the following--

section 15.

"five thousand".

6.

Section 17 of the principal Ordinance is amended---

(a) in subsection (1), by deleting "two thousand" and substituting the

following-

"ten thousand"; and

(b) in subsection (2), by deleting "one thousand" and substituting the

following-

Amendment of section 17.

"five thousand”.

7. Section 18 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "two Amendment of thousand" and substituting the following----

section 18.

"ten thousand".

8.

Section 21(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "one Amendment of thousand" and substituting the following---

section 21.

"five thousand”.
