Short title and commencement.

Amendment of section 7.

(Cap. 375.)

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Road Traffic (Driving-offence Points) (Amendment) Ordinance 1986 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

2. Section 7(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "10" and substituting the following-

"8".

Amendment of Schedule.

3. The Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended--

(a) in item 5 by inserting after "hour" in column 3 the following—

", other than where item 5A or 5B applics"; and

(b) by inserting after item 5 the following-

"5A Section 41

5B Section 41

Driving in excess of speed limit by more than 30 kilometres an hour, other than where item 5B applies

Driving in excess of speed limit by more that 45 kilometres an hour
