Scheme annexed to Plan To. 80111/30/02 deccribing the construction of a covered footbridge

cressing Gloucester Road at Stewart cad

General Description of the Works

The proposed works involve the construction of a covered

footbridge crossing Cloucester hoai at Stewart load, as shown on

Flan No. 90111/30/02 (the Plan'). The Setwart Road Footbridge

will provide en additional rorth-south access to the Wan Chai

Reclamation across Cloucester Road. At the northern end of the

footbridge a direct link will be made to the existing Causeway

Centre podium, and a stair will provide access to the ground

level. At the southern end an escalator and stair will be

provided in Stewart Road.

Re-alignment of Stewart Road between

Jaffe Foad and Cloucester Road will be required to provide space

for the escalator and stair.

Roads to be Modified

For the purpose of and/or incidental to the said works

it will be necessary to carry out the road modifications as listed

hereunder :-

(i) The existing road width of Stewart Road between

Jaffe Road and Cloucester Road will be reduced

to 11.00 metres by realigning the westside kerbline,

as shown on the Plan.

The existing kerbline on the southride of the eastbound-

Gloucester Road carriageway will be slightly modified,

as shown on the Plan.
