I refer to your letter ref. SHK/JCL/12970/85/dc dated 10th December 1985, addressed to the Secretary for Lands and Works.

I am presently considering the feasibility of moving the alignment of the proposed footbridge about 10 metres to the east, that is to a position on the east side of Pottinger Street, such that the footbridge will be about 6 metres from Wing On House at its nearest point. (Plan HH/PS/1 attached)

Please let me know whether your Clients will agree to withdraw their objection if the footbridge alignment is amended as described above.

Please reply within three weeks of the date of this letter to me at the above address. Should a reply not be received from you within this time, it will be assumed that your Clients object to the amended alignment.
