As for the sand filter system,
the French have yet to submit detailed data to
the Joint Venture Company for a final decision
to be made. Nevertheless, the Chinese authorities
stressed that finance for this item has already been
budgetted for and that the final decision will be
based solely on engineering grounds,

be made between Guangdong and Hong Kong on the
exchange of information and coordination of
contingency plaming, It was also noted that
cross-border arrangements had been made between
