Daya Bay Power Station
Mr. TANG Pak-wing of the Kau Tin Residents Association (notoriously pro-KMT) has been campaigning to collect signatures objecting to the nuclear power station (please see newspaper clippings at Annex. I). The drive behind any campaign in the district is fuelled either by political organisations of this type, or by young teachers connected with territorial organisations. I do not detect any strong popular under-current of feeling against the project in the district. There appears to be a wide range of views, with the more broad-- minded being less outspoken; the majority are curious to learn more details and scientific facts about the scheme.
