VETTING OF LOCALLY EMPLOYED STAFF - HONG KONG OFFICE

1. Your Department has in the past undertaken the security vetting of all local staff employed by the Hong Kong Office of this Mission.

2. In the near future the Hong Kong Office will operate in Geneva in its own right and as a completely separate entity, becoming responsible for all its administration matters many of which have been undertaken to date by the Mission Administration Section.

3.

The Hong Kong Office has however asked us to continue to arrange the security vetting of its local staff and I should be grateful to know as soon as possible whether your Department sees any problems over this.
