UNITED KINGDOM'S GUARANTEE OF HONG KONG'S LIABILITIES TO THE ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK

As you are aware, we have negotiated with the Chinese Government the transfer, from 1 July 1997, of the United Kingdom's guarantee of Hong Kong's liabilities to the AsDB.

2. I should therefore be grateful if you would give the enclosed letter to President Fujioka. I enclose copies for your records

and for Keith Horton-Stephens, the Australian Director who represents Hong Kong.
