(10) in the first half of 1986, at 361 000 square metres in terms of usable floor area completed, decreased by 30% compared with the same period last year. The demand for industrial property is largely related to the performance of the manufacturing sector and export prospects. The current revival in manufacturing activity has, thus, stimulated an increase in demand for industrial property, particularly high quality property in good locations. Prices and rentals for factory space showed some mild increases during the first half.
