As regards apportioning any implied criticism on account of this disappointing performance, it is clearly aimed at those companies in the manfacturing sector in the UK that are not yet engaged in Hong Kong. In the trading, financial and services sectors in Hong Kong, the UK presence and involvement is self-evidently very high, but no figures are available for measuring this.
