1. I have discussed this with Andy Henderson. Last year, when Mr Luce was the host, we used his personal invitation cards. Andy Henderson would prefer to

invitation cards rather than the official GHF ones you suggest. I realise this means they each have to be written by hand but, considering we still do not have the names of the Chinese delegation, this may have been inevitable.

An alternative form of words should be used on the invitation cards (when they are finally issued), such ası

"in honour of the Chinese and British delegations to the Sino-British Joint Liaison Group".
