Action Taken

As requested, the Hong Kong Government have arranged the enclosed programme for your visit to the territory between 15 and 18 January 1986. We have booked the Furama Hotel for these four nights and will be responsible for your accommodation expenses. We have also arranged for

Mrs Carter-Jones to visit a Chinese cooking class on 16 January. My colleagues will provide a more detailed programme on your arrival in Hong Kong.

I understand that you are separately organising your programme in China and Hong Kong after the 18th of January with Dr Harry Fang.

I enclose for your reference a copy of the first Annual Report on Hong Kong to Parliament and some briefing materials on nationality.

With best wishes for the New Year!

Yours sincerely

Stephen Lam
