Problem

1.

A letter from Mr Neil Hamilton MP concerning his

forthcoming visit to India and Hong Kong.

Recommendation

2.

I recommend that Mr Renton reply to Mr Hamilton along

the lines of the attached draft. SAD concur.

Background

3. Mr Hamilton's visit to New Delhi and Hong Kong is to be

sponsored by British Airways. Mrs Hamilton will accompany

her husband. I understand that the visit to Delhi will be

entirely private but Mr Hamilton will undertake a short Hong Kong Government programme during his stay in the territory.

The programme will reflect Mr Hamilton's

Vice-Chai rman of the

Committee.
