I understand that you have already made your service and the visit programme known to most MPs. I report the rather surprising visit by Dr. Holland so that you may want to take further action to prevent similar future unplanned visit to Hong Kong by MPs. Had we been given advance notice, I am sure Dr. Holland could have had a much more productive visit than this one, and there would have been no embarrassment as to whether the Hong Kong Government should pay for his expenditure. hardly need add that we found it a little disturbing, not to say discourteous, that Dr. Holland expected VIP treatment at the drop of a hat.
