Further to my letter of 27 December 1985,

I enclose, for your reference, the record of a meeting between JI Pengfei and representatives of the students, the labour and education sectors, and community organisations held on 20 December 1985. The record was prepared by one of the participants who passed it to us through our contacts. We have arranged an English translation of this which is also enclosed.

Incidentally, the first issue of the overseas edition of the "Outlook Weekly" also carried a report of the above meeting. Copies of the article and its English translation (prepared and released by the local NCNA) are enclosed. We have compared the two and found no discrepancy in substance.
