I am over 70 years old and the Comrade Zhao

Ziyang is four years my junior he is now 66 years old.

It is therefore the wish of both Comrade Zhao Ziyang and

I myself to gradually disengaged ourselves from state

affairs, starting from next year so that younger comrades

in their 50s will have, er, will be able to assume

greater responsibilities on state affairs. If one takes

into account all this then one will see that there's no

such thing as decision making by any particular

individual in China and this will also ensure the

continuity of the the policies now in place in China.
