Your distinguished colleague Mr Fei Xiaotong, old
friend of Britain. We are proud of his links with
us; delighted when he was awarded Thomas Huxley
Prize3 by Royal Anthropology Institute in 1981;
British guests have also each played important part in
developing friendships and cooperation, in many walks of
life. Cannot mention all. But some striking examples of
their acheivements:

famous double decker buses of London now
providing regular service between central Peking and
Summer Palace (trust they are running on time, and not ir
convoys).
