Hong Kong, being an important door to China, is also benefiting from the increasing number of foreign representative offices being set up in Hong Kong (paragraph 32). Further, the provision of financial services and advice to facilitate China's entry into international financial markets, such as participation in syndicated loans (paragraphs 23 and 24), issue of bonas and certificates of deposit etc. (paragraphs 27 and 28), should further consolidate the position of Hong Kong as centre of international finance in the Region, as well as for China.-
