The programme

Prince Philip visited Hong Kong from

The Queen and Prince Philip were welcomed by

enthusiastic crowds as they came ashore from Her Majesty's

Yacht Britannia. After the formal welcoming ceremony the

royal couple first visited the members of the Executive

and Legislative Councils in their new home in the former

Supreme Court building. They then walked to the striking

new headquarters building of the Hong Kong and Shanghai

Bank, which is now one of the architectural landmarks of

Hong Kong.
