I have the honour to refer to the Hong Kong
Letters Patent 1986 and to address you on the subject
of grants and dispositions of land in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Letters Patent 1986 dispense
with the requirements that grants and dispositions
of land in Hong Kong should be made in the name
of The Queen. It is therefore necessary to adopt
an alternative form for such grants. I therefore
instruct you that, consequent upon the coming into
force of such Letters Patent, grants and dispositions
of any land in Hong Kong made and executed by you under the principal Letters Patent be made and executed
in the name of the Government of Hong Kong.
I should be grateful if you would acknowledge
receipt of this despatch.
