A BILL

To

ANNEX TO XCC (86) 100

Amend the Oaths and Declarations Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Short title and

commencement.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Oaths and

Declarations (Amendment) Ordinance 1986 and shall come

into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor

by notice in the Gazette.

Amendment of section 16. (Cap. 11.)

Amendment of section 18.

Section 16 of the principal Ordinance is

amended by inserting, after paragraph (c), the following

"(ca) the Executive Council Oath;".

3. Section 18(1) of the principal Ordinance

is amended by deleting "Oath of Allegiance and the Oath

of Fidelity" and substituting the following

"Oath of Fidelity and either the Oath

of Allegiance or the Executive Council

Oath".

Amendment of section 22.

Section 22 of the principal Ordinance is

amended by deleting subsection (2) and substituting
