Members will be asked to advise whether, subject to Ministerial and Royal approval for an alternative form of oath for Executive Councillors, the Oaths and Declarations (Amendment) Bill 1986 at Annex A should be introduced into the Legislative Council.

(The Principal Assistant Secretary (Constitutional and Electoral Affairs), Mr P.T. PELHAM, and the Senior Assistant Law Draftsman, Mr D.J. MORRIS, will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item.)
