BLDC member Martin Lee:

He does not understand

why the BLDC secretariat has come up with a draft on the structure of the Basic Law when the BLDC has yet to discuss the matter. It gives an impression that the BLDC members here are only a rubber stamp.

* BLDC member Liu Ylu-chu: The setting up of a BLDC will be quite pointless if members are always kept in the dark.

(report) Some BLDC. members are unhappy that they have not received any papers relating to the BLDC meeting which will begin in Peking on April 18. BLCC vice- chairman Dr Rayson Huang said although HK's political system is not on the agenda,

individual BLDC members from HK may have an exchange of views with their Chinese counter- parts on the subject.
