it is a good idea to put forward some preliminary proposals for the post 1997 political system and to seek HK people's views on them.

But two

BLDC members, Martin Lee and Szeto Wah, are

strongly against the idea. Mr Lee said once Peking make known its thinking on the political system, many HK people will be reluctant to put forward opposite views.
