The TDC is already financing three firms of lobbyists who are working for Hong Kong's interests in Washington. Although the Jenkins' Bill was vetoed by President Reagan, protectionist sentiments remain strong in the United States. We will continue to work in close co-operation with the Government and other trade organisations to safeguard and promote Hong Kong's interests.
