8.23 Inspectors of the Advisory Inspectorate continued to provide specialist advice to heads of schools and teachers during visits and inspections. They also participated in promotional activities by giving talks, joining panel discussions and meeting and liaising with schools, interest groups and

Moral education resource materials mounted on display boards were made available on loan to organisations for exhibition purposes.

8.24

Community Youth Clubs The Community Youth Club scheme continued to encourage participation by students from Primary 4 to Form 7 in community activities which were to a large extent inter-related with moral education.

FUTURE ACTION

8.25

The Standing Committee will continue to meet bi-monthly and to monitor the incidence of unruly and delinquent behaviour of students. In particular,

future action will include

-

(a) the completion of the 1984/85 survey on unruly and delinquent behaviour in schools;

(b)

the study of the report on the evaluation of remedial teaching; and

(c)

the organising of district seminars on unruly and delinquent behaviour in schools on a yearly basis.
