MEMBERSHIP
3.1
Membership of the Scheme shall be open to:-
(a) All persons who were Members of the Sterling Fund, the Dollar Fund or the Superannuation Scheme (1975) on the 1st day of November 1979 and who shall elect in writing on or before the 15th day of January 1980 to become Members of the Scheme; and
(b) All persons employed by the University after the lat November 1979 on contracts of employment made under Terms of Service I or Terms

3.2 A Member of the Scheme shall not be entitled also to ba a Member of the Sterling Fund, the Dollar Fund or the Superannuation Scheme (1975).
3.3 A Member shall cease to be a Member of the Scheme on the earlier of:
(i)
the date that he the University; or

to be employed by
(ii) the next June 30th following the date of his 60th birthday or, in the event that his 60th birthday falls upon the 30th June, then upon that 30th June.
