The Government Information Service and Radio Television Hong Kong, through publications and radio and television

programmes respectively, make substantial contributions to the many publicity campaigns designed to cultivate civic awareness. It is also considered that the present policy of opening meetings of the various boards and councils (such as the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council, District Boards etc.) to the public will help in the promotion of civic education in general.
