If the principle of separating the three powers to he mutually checked and balanced is established, why must we push for the supremacy of the legislature? Why don't we make reference to the U.S. system where the three powers are separated and where the legislature and chief executive are returned by different channels? Why don't we map out a political pattern which integrates the reality of Hong Kong with the majority people's wish of not favouring great and abrupt changes?
