PRIME MINISTER'S MEETING WITH SIR Y.K. PAO

For the sake of good order and discipline I should record that the Prime Minister had a talk with Sir Y.K. Pao this morning.But very little emerged which warrants recording. Sir Y.K. said that he had had a very useful meeting with Mr. Raison about the scholarship fund and also with the British Council about the supply of English teachers. In a brief reference to the Ningbo steel project, Sir Y.K. said that discussions were going smoothly and he hoped that some sort of agreement could be reached this summer.
