I enclose two copies of the Ninth Report of the Standing Committee on Directorate Salaries and Conditions of retained Service.

The Government has accepted in principle the various recommendations contained in the Report, which are being Tomos processed in accordance with established procedures.

Two copies of the Civil Service Branch Circular No. 17/85 which gives details of the revision of directorate pay levels, effective from 1 August 1985, are also attached for your information.

A consequential adjustment to the Governor's salary has also been approved, and the revised monthly rate is $80,000 with effect from 1 August 1985.
