Kevin Lyonette, of UNHCR's Donor Relations Division, is visiting the UK and Ireland next month and has allocated the afternoon of 11 December for calls on the FCO Diplomatic Wing. He will be seeing a number of Departments and two Under-Secretaries in the ODA that morning. On all his calls, Mr Lyonette (who is a former member of the Diplomatic Service) will be accompanied by UNHCR's London Representative, Dr Ruprecht von Arnim.

2. My Lyonette has indicated that he would like to concentrate, in his discussions with the Diplomatic Wing, on general policy questions relating to UNHCR's activities. He will be seeing Mr Lever at 1500. He would be happy in addition to discuss UNHCR's activities in particular countries with any desk officers who wish this. I should be grateful if recipients of this minute would let me know if they would like a separate meeting with Mr Lyonette;

I should also be grateful if they would let me know of any issues which they think Mr Lever may raise with UND or which they would like UND to raise with him.
