The Government Chief Whip's Office have advised that Mr Keith Best (Con Ynys Mon) has won the ballot for the adjournment debate on Tuesday 14 May and has put down the following subject:

"Crisis in South East Asia and the refugee problem".

2. The debate lasts for half an hour, normally starting at about 10,00 pm, with the Minister responsible responding to Mr Best. I should be grateful for confirmation that Mr Luce will handle this debate.

3. SEAD should liaise with HKD and the relevant Private Secretary about the length of the required wind up speech and supplementaries and background.
