Cambodia at the UN
10. Our position at the United Nations is as follows. At the UN General Assembly the Credentials Committee has for a number of years recommended continuing acceptance of the credentials of representatives of Democratic Kampuchea for the Cambodia seat. This position which last year, as in 1983, went unchallenged is supported by a large majority of UN members, including ourselves. I believe that this policy is in line with our overall objective of securing as soon as possible the complete withdrawal of Vietnamese forces from Cambodia.
