At an
office meeting on Friday 10 May the Secretary of State
decided that we should approach the Home Office about further
admissions of Vietnamese refugees from Hong Kong, but that we should
not pursue the option of discussing with the Vietnamese government
forcible repatriation of refugees. We need to in form the Hong
