VOLUNTARY REPATRIATION OF VIETNAMESE REFUGEES
Clinton Leeks' teleletter of 31 December asked how matters stood on the eight cases of refugees who had indicated a desire to return to Vietnam.

2. I have now learned from the UNHCR that their Representative in Hanoi raised the cases with the Vietnamese authorities on 27 December but that, to date, they have not received any response. I have asked UNHCR to renew their efforts.
