VIETNAMESE FAMILY REUNION CASES
In discussions with the refugee agencies following the publication of the Government's reply to the SCORRI report we agreed to deal with two families, comprising 20 people in all, in advance of any other cases as housing was being held available for them until the end of November.
The Hong Kong Government has recently confirmed that the details of the families are correct and that they wish to join their relatives in the United Kingdom. It is proposed that they should travel sometime between 15-19 November.
I should be grateful therefore if you would telex Hong Kong as soon as possible and advise them that settlement/refugee visas have been authorised for the following:
