1. Thank you for your minute of 14 February with which you attached a proof copy of the Minutes of Evidence given to the Sub-Committee on 4 February.

2. We have checked these proofs. I attach a copy with our amendments in the margin; we have also added two footnotes on pages 144 and 149, providing figures which the Home Office have now made available to us.

We have not checked pages 126-137, relating to annex A of our written memorandum (ie the UNHCR statistics and charts for September 1984). This is because we are awaiting a copy of the December UNHCR statistics (para la of your minute of 13 February to Mr Nash refers), which we shall then pass to you for forwarding to the Sub-Committee.
