An Ordinance to amend the Hong Kong Industrial Estates Corporation Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong Industrial Estates Corpora- tion (Amendment) Ordinance 1985 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) in subsection (1)

(i) by inserting at the end of paragraph (b) the following—

"and";

(ii) by deleting paragraphs (c) and (d) and substituting the following—

"(c) 7 members appointed by the Governor, not more than 4 of whom

shall be public officers.";

(b) in subsections (4), (5) and (6) by inserting after "member" the following-

"who is not a public officer";

(c) in subsection (7)---

(i) by inserting after "member" the following-

"who is a public officer";

(ii) by deleting "(1)(d)" and substituting the following-

(d) in subsection (9)—–—

“(1)(c)";

(i) by inserting after "any member" the following-

"who is a public officer";

(ii) by deleting "(1)(d)” and substituting the following-

“(1)(c)".

Short title and commencement.

Amendment of section 7. (Cap. 209.)

Section 27(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting after Amendment of "person" the following-

section 27.

", who may be a public officer,".
