H20/

The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

of the People's Republic of China presents its compliments to

all Diplomatic Representative Missions in China and has the

honour to inform the latter as follows:

wat

From Aug. 1, 1985, when those Chinese citizens who have settled

down in foreign countries or who have been abroad for private

affairs come back to China, they will be allowed to enter only

by showing their valid ordinary passports of the People's "epublic

of China or other valid certificate. It will be no necessary for

them to get entry visa. So the Exit and Entry Administration of

the Ministry of Public Security of the "eople's Republic of China.

will only stamp exit visa on their passports and no longer exit-

entry visa on when they issue ordinary passports to those Chinese

citizens who will go abroad for private affairs.

The Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all Diplomatic

Representative Missions in China the assurances of its highest
