Dear Mr Kuo,

In reply to your letter of 12 December 1984, I have the honour to let you know that holders of Hong Kong British passports are not on this account required to apply for an entry visa to France for short stays of less than three

months.

I would, however, draw your attention to the contents of Decree No. 82-442 of 27 May 1982 which provides that when aliens who are not subject to the requirement of an entry visa for France for short visit may, should the occasion arise, have to produce evidence of their living arrangements in France and of their funds.

Please accept Mr Kuo the expression of my etc.
