The fee for the BDTC passport in Hong Kong would be levied

under the Hong Kong Immigration Regulations and will be set by

the Governor. Elsewhere it will be set under the Consular Fees

Act 1980.

Endorsements in the BN (0) Passport

9.

BN (0) passports will be endorsed to indicate that the holder

has a right of abode in Hong Kong. The wording of this endorsement is being discussed with the Chinese.

Obtaining the Passport

10. Work is underway to produce application forms for BN (0) passports and explanatory Leaflets setting out the options available to Hong Kong 3DTCs and the consequences of failing to

obtain a BN (0) passport by 30 June 1997.

11. It will be open to people to apply for a BN (0) passport at any time after 1 July 1987 but before a cut-off date (yet to be
