In paras 1 and 4 the expression should be "international agreements and arrangements".

The second sentence of paragraph 2 should be replaced by "This is however a matter we will have to discuss with the Chinese in the Joint Liaison Group (on the lines of HKK040/24 FCO telegram no 509 of 20 March 1984) before deciding

what action to take with our allies." (12)
