committee should not be formed entirely by HK people, but should came under the leadership of an organisation responsible to the Peking Goverment.

announces the member- ship of the Basic Law drafting committee. Of the 59 members, 23 are from HK. (namelist of the HK representatives is the same as the one announced on June 11).

UC member Frederick Fung: New blood should be injected into the drafting committee after an initial three-year

term.

Social Workers' General Union chairman Mak Hoi-wah, Federation of Civil Service Unions chairman Wong Wai-hung and Civil Service General Union chairman Anthony Luk: The drafting committee should listen to public views on a wide basis.
